With decades of experience, Nick Hayward began his career by undertaking a traineeship at the BBC NHU later going on to film the Lyrebird scene for Life of Birds which was voted as the British public’s favourite Attenborough moment.
Nick produced and filmed Quoll Farm, the story of a family of Eastern Quolls living on a deserted farm. This became the highest rating factual show on Australian television in 2020.
Nick co-directed The Platypus Guardian, an extraordinary journey of a platypus living in the Hobart Rivulet, Tasmania. It is a compelling tale of perseverance and launched the 2023 season of PBS Nature.
Recent work includes; David Attenborough’s Wonder of Song, David Attenborough’s Tasmania, Last Devils (National Geographic) and Cute Little Killers (Terra Mater). Nick is renowned for his work on many blue-chip natural history productions.
